eProcurement Portals - An effective way to engage and communicate
Due North’s eProcurement Portals are an effective way of engaging and communicating with the supplier base by providing a single point of contact for buyers and suppliers. Publishing notices on a portal provides the supplier community with a single point of reference for all contract opportunities and procurement updates within a geographical region or sector.
Due North has been working with many Local Government regions to deliver regional Improvement and Efficiency Partnerships Portals and other eprocurement portals. Such purchasing hubs operate geographically or along specialist lines and provide a full range of streamlined procurement and contracting options online, fully servicing the local community and helping to reduce duplication and reduce prices. The local regions that deployed the Due North eprocurement portal solution include: NWRIEP, London Tenders, Devon Tenders, NEPO, SWRIEP, IESE and Advantage SW.
In total, Due North runs 20 eprocurement portals, which fully integrate with its ProContract Suite of Sourcing, Supplier and Contract Management solutions. The intuitive software has given over 85,000 registered suppliers and has published over 2000 opportunity notices.
Suppliers are able to register free of charge on all Due North powered portals via a simple and secure registration process. eProcurement portals give suppliers easy access to opportunities in their area of expertise and allows them to register interest on specific contracts.
Public Sector organisations can publish a tender notification to their portal, which automatically sends an email to registered suppliers in that area of expertise, giving suppliers free access to opportunities and procurers the ability to negotiate with the best suppliers.
“Using Due North powered portals we were able to easily gain access to a large number of tenders. We were able to register against categories of interest and relevant tenders are automatically forwarded to us through the procurement portal. Using the portals has given our organisation the ability to compete for business we may not have known was there.”
